More than just the WSOP in Vegas

The WSOP isn't the only game in town

The World Series of Poker runs for about a month and half. One could get pretty caught up in all the WSOP hype and glamour. Well, there's plenty of poker outside the Rio.  Every day the Bellagio runs a $1K tournament at 2 PM. The Venetian and Caesar's Palace are also running deep stack tournaments, anywhere from $200 to $2500 buy-ins. You can go anywhere on the "Strip" or downtown and get into a tournament for $20 to $200, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week!  I think it 's really important to concetrate on money management while you're in Vegas. Bankroll management is the key to long term poker success.  I feel that having a lot of experience is just like having a lot of chips.  The person with the most usually wins. So play within your budget, but play, play, play!

The next few weeks leading up to the Main Event are, hopefully, going to be the best of my career!  I'm going to play in 7 to 10 events. I'm teaching at the WSOP Academy at Caesar's Palace, June 29th - July 1st.  Then, of course, the "BIG" UB bash is the night of July 1st at the Palms.  Hope to see you all there.
