'Baddest' Beat in History?
I was recently playing in an Aruba quarter final freeroll and had the pleasure of getting one of the worst bad beats imaginable. I started the hand with AK of spades. Pretty good I thought.. So I raised several times the Blinds. One guy called me. The flop came AKQ spades. I raised again. He called. The turn was an A!
WOW... I had the nuts!! Aces full of kings, unbeatable...ALL IN!
He goes all in too........hah, sucker I got ya. I'm real excited..this guy has just a lousy A high straight with a J 10. I have FULL HOUSE. The river was a 4 or some low card. I am waiting to collect my chips when...wait a minute ...a mistake has been made....he's getting my chips. I look in horror..back at his cards... OH NO in all the excitement I missed the fact it was J 10 OF SPADES!! He's made a ROYAL FLUSH!! 650,000 to 1 against!! Never thought I could get a bad beat as BAD!.
Probably never will again!!
