That's a pretty bad beat
This was a single table tourney. Fairly early in the tourney. Probably still 7 or 8 of us left. I was in early position with 99.
I raised to 4 times the big blind. Everyone folded to the button who went all in with about the same chip stack that I had. I called.
He turned over 77. The flop came K 9 J. I knew I had won it then. Then a 7 hit on the turn, another 7 on the river, and I was out.
The odds were approximately 1000 to 1. Give or take. THATS A PRETTY BAD BEAT!
